The first promise
Genesis written (1446–1406 BC) to The crucifixion (AD 30–33): ~1,440–1,480 years in the Modern reckoning, ~4,030 years in the Traditional.
After the fall, God promises that the woman's offspring will crush the serpent's head; on the cross Jesus says it is finished.
When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished.” And bowing His head, He yielded up His spirit.
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. He will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”
